Epiphany Door Blessing

The Epiphany blessing for 2026 involves blessing your home on or near the feast of the Epiphany (Tuesday, January 6, 2026). Traditionally, the family gathers near the front door and uses blessed chalk to write 20 + C + M + B + 26 over the doorway, symbolizing Christ blessing the home. The family can say prayers for protection and blessing for the year ahead.

St. James 175th anniversary Celebration

St. James Church at Cooperstown celebrated the 175th anniversary of the parish's founding on July 27, 2025.Bishop David Ricken was the principal celebrant at Mass, and concelebrants were Bishop Frank Dewane, Father Brian Belongia, Father William O'Brien, Father Dennis Ryan, and Father Santiago Turiano.
