  • Who We Are

St. James Catholic Church in the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin, has been a landmark in the Denmark community for 175 years. Our church is linked with St. Joseph’s Church in Kellnersville, and under the Pastoral leadership of Father Brian Belongia.
St. James is commonly referred to as being located in Cooperstown. It is situated midway between Green Bay and Manitowoc.  We serve the people of northwest Manitowoc County, namely the communities of Denmark, Maribel, and the nearby townships. St. James is the spiritual home to over 300 registered households and about 1,000 parishioners. The church community is warm and welcoming where you and your family will feel at home.
We invite you to browse our web pages to discover what our church is all about. You are welcome here--whether on-line or in person at one of our Masses or liturgies. Please let us know if we can serve you in any way.
We are confident that you will find the people of St. James Church a welcoming community where you
can grow in your faith.  May God bless you!

  • Fr. Ron Memorial

Father Ron Colombo served St. James Parish for 21 years—the longest duration of any pastor in our history.  He touched the lives of nearly every member of St. James congregation. A Prayer Garden was built in his memory in November 2024. It is situated behind the rectory near the kitchen entrance, with an engraved granite bench.. May Father Ron and all the faithful departed rest in peace.
