Confirmation

  • Confirmation is typically offered to High School Juniors at St. James, and preparation takes place within the Faith Formation classes.

In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ. Confirmation calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, society, and the world.

We mature in the practice of faith, prayer, and the beatitudes. As in baptism, we receive an indelible (permanent) mark in our soul, that empowers us in our journey towards our true home, which is – heaven!
