Thanksgiving Meal

•        A free Thanksgiving meal is offered annually to residents of the greater Denmark/Maribel area on Thanksgiving Day. Held at Denmark Public High School, the meal is prepared by an ecumenical group of area churches, including St. James.  Its outreach is not only to those who have financial hardship, but to neighbors who would otherwise be alone on Thanksgiving, or unable to prepare the meal on their own.     
       Planning begins in October for the holiday meals that are served. Arrangements are made for delivery to those who cannot dine in person.  In 2019, over 200 meals were served on-site at the Denmark High School, or through delivery.
